Hi everyone! Thanks for all your emails, phone calls, orders etc.  I’m really enjoying developing this site and, to make it more interesting, Dobetalk will include interesting topics, photo’s and anything dog related you would like to include.  Just get in touch if you would like to add anything.

I’ll be at Leeds Champ Show later this month where Mary Barrett of the Margins affix will be judging Dobes.  I remember Mary and Nigel Barrett from many years ago when they had Margins Dobermanns.  They were into Dobermanns for twenty six years and have judged Dobes throughout the UK.  They now successfully show Miniature Bull Terriers.

Jimmy Richardson recently provided a link to a very interesting Youtube video, “Healing with Honey”

I know many people are familiar with the healing properties of honey but I thought this video was worth sharing as it was put out by the Ontario Veterinary College. Enjoy!

Talking of Jimmy Richardson (Roanoke), reminds me….I am putting together an album of Dobe cuttings from publications, such as Dog World annual, Our Dogs etc, some going back as far as 1956!!!  No, I haven't collected them myself! I have a clippings, complete with photographic images, featuring Roanoke (dog World Annual 1972), many Tavey full page clippings (from1959), along with Vonmac, Annastock, Zeitgeist, Cartergate, Findjans, Chater, Bellmarsh, Barrimilne and Chancepixies among others.  They make very interesting reading and it’s amazing to see how the shape of the Dobe has changed over the years!  I’ll be taking the album on my travels to the shows and you are all welcome to browse through it- please just ask!

This is not a Dobe- I know! 
While at Bath Champ Show  I spotted this dog on it’s bench looking totally bored.  I just had to take a photo of it!  I showed it to the owners who were returning to the bench and we all had a good laugh! Thought I’d share it with you! Captions anyone?!!
