Photographic/ web design experience
I'm Sue from dezign4k9 and I've been seriously involved in photography since being a teenager (yes, I CAN remember that far back!). I spent a small fortune on professional camera gear and loved creative photography so much that I decided I should make it my living.
I gained enough experience to be employed in professional colour laboratories and so made a career move. The many years of photo editing/colour assessing has given me the ability to produce stunning, expertly enhanced, colourful images. To fulfil a burning ambition, I also spent years travelling the world, creatively photographing the many sights.
Several years ago I moved into digital photography and invested in a range of top quality photographic equipment, along with a professional, lab quality, photographic printer and the ultimate in photo editing software.
I started designing web sites in 2000 after studying Web Design and Develoment at the University of Bradford. Later, while at Bradford College, the Head of the Art Department saw my site and asked me to redesign his own business site. He was impressed with the results and asked me to do another site for the college students to display their work. From then on, it was no looking back. I was flooded with enquiries for web design.
I decided to combine my creative talents with my other passion in my life, dogs.
dezign 4k9 was born!

Show ring experience
I bought my first Dobermann, Rio, in 1985. She was a real character and a real handful!
I visited Leeds Champ Show for a day out and decided that I'd like to have a go at showing. I did my homework and bought a male Dobermann, Findjans Fahrenheit, bred by Alma Page and sired by Ch.Findjans Chaos out of Findjans Gemini. Sabre was a gorgeous puppy and I took him the 23 miles every week to Nick Naylor's (Jenick's) Dobe training classes.
He won Junior dog, out of a class of 22, at Crufts- not bad for a beginner! He was also awarded a Challenge Certificate at an early age. Sadly, I lost Sabre at the age of two. He had been operated on after he had swallowed a large stone and I'm almost certain it was through swallowing another foreign object which caused his death. I was heartbroken!
I know that special dogs can never be replaced, but I waited for another 'something special' and got Ranlor Circuit Breaker, Rab, who was bred by Vic and Lorraine Honor, sired by Ch. Findjans Chaos. It was the very last time Chaos was used at stud. Rabs dam was Borains Freedom Lady. He was such a gentle and loving dog, yet a great guard. He gained 6 CC's and several Reserve CC's, along with a Best in Show win at the Working Breeds of Wales Championship show. Rab well deserved his title of Champion.
While Rab was a young puppy, I bought a bitch, Lynfryds Remy from Fred and Linda Wilkes. She was sired by Ch Holtzburg Mayhem, out of Bledig Celica at Lynfryds. At LKA, her first Champ show, she was awarded second place out of a minor puppy bitch class of 46 entrants. She gained a Reserve CC from Junior bitch. The same day Rab was awarded the Res. CC from Junior dog- quite a day! Remy preferred chasing rabbits in the fields to showing, so I let her do just that.
My parents wanted a dog out of a Remy/Rab mating and we kept Brandy who was a big brown Dobe with a big heart! Rab had many youngsters in the show ring that did very well for him.
I lost Rio and Rab, both at twelve years of age and Remy at fourteen and a half. I still love Dobes and will get another one some time in the future. At present I have a ten months old puppy, Mojo, who is a fun-loving girl. She's the Dally pictured throughout the site.
